Clube Escola O Liceu (CEOL) was founded on February 7, 2006, with headquarters at Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz, parish of Santa Maria Maior, municipality of Funchal, having defined in its statutes the promotion and organization of physical and sporting activities, with recreational, training or social purposes that contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of the school population, through a healthy occupation of free time and the acquisition of habits of sports practices.
In addition to the leisure sport aspect, the CEOL, as a result of the quality of its work and its practitioners/athletes, the limitation of its target audience (school community) and its own sustainability, both in the number of practitioners and from a financial point of view, it evolved, as a result of its dynamics, to the aspect of federated sport, expanding its object defined in article 2, of its statutes, in order to cover the entire community in general.
In terms of leisure, we intend to continue walking, yoga, water aerobics and swimming for children and adults, with participation in swimming festivals organized by ANM in partnership with other clubs in RAM. Within the scope of federated sport, we will mainly focus on two modalities: swimming and football (female and male).
Regarding Swimming - Pure / Open Water / Adapted Swimming - we will participate in festivals for Schools, Championships and Regional tournaments in the cadet, children, youth, junior and senior levels, with the main objective of increasing the number of athletes with minimum times to participate in the national championships.
Regarding football, in the 2017-18 season, CEOL had a Women's Football team (U12 to Sub14) and intends to form a women's team from Sub 15 to Sub16 in the future. In July 2017, CEOL partnered with Dragon Force Madeira, in order to boost youth football, in the sub4, sub14, male and female levels, forming the "CE Liceu / Dragon Force".
In order to provide more practice time and better quality to those who come to us, we need to meet a set of conditions, including the maintenance of our technical and managerial staff, which at the moment is composed of teachers from Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz, monitors and technicians. duly accredited.

The guidance team is made up of teachers who are used to developing this type of initiative. Enrollment includes various modalities and schedules, depending on the preferences of the public, in addition to the fact that parents can count on free parking at the School itself.
