Territory "Our House"
Responsible teachers: Bruno Ramalho and Nidia Camacho
History:
It was established on January 19, 1998 and at the beginning of the 1998/1999 school year, it presented a proposal for activities in order to pursue its objectives, contained in the document approved by the Pedagogical Council. Objectives
The objective is to create synergies and dynamize activities, which are not only the continuation of school curricula but, at the same time, add some more value in favor of a greater formation of the student, as a human being and citizen.
The role of the Club "O Território - A Nossa Casa", in addition to the activities inherent to it, is also concerned with approaching, in different ways, some program contents and giving them a dimension of utility and pragmatism. And without this approach, it would be more difficult to obtain feedback between the Club and its target audience, the School Community.

O Lyceu Magazine
The guidelines that guide the magazine O Lyceu aim to share and disseminate the internal dynamics of the Jaime Moniz Secondary School and the values on which it is structured and, above all, to develop artistic, scientific, reflective and human capacities leading to the optimization of the Being, involving all the educational community.
The main target of our publications is the students: we invite them to reflect through debate, writing and reading, based on premises of sociocultural valorization, configuring a diversified culture. However, we also give voice to unavoidable figures in politics, education, culture, music, journalism, among others.
In each period, or academic year, the magazine is attentive to the major themes that guide Madeiran life, nationally or internationally, seeking to contribute to its reflection.
In its first editions, the magazine was made on paper; later, given the need to reduce costs, O Lyceu began to be fully published online.
the yearbook
The Yearbook edition takes up a tradition from the 40s. It means assuming our origins and contributing to perpetuating the collective memory, continuing what the system has bequeathed to us.
In the first editions, the Yearbook was printed. Today, given the financial constraints and following the trends of the modern world, its digital format aims to contribute to facilitate access to a greater number of readers who, through this document, will be able to easily follow the evolution of Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz over the years. .
The Yearbook is a fundamental document for registering and disseminating the School's organizational structure, either by identifying its human capital – management bodies, teachers, students and employees – or by referring to the main events that took place during the school year. Given the multiplicity of activities that take place at Jaime Moniz, carried out by teachers or students, the Yearbook can only be completed by reading the blogs “happens” and “happened”. In these places, the life of our School pulsates daily.
Making our school reality known to civil society is also a sign that we are open to dialogue with other partners who share our concerns, doubts, hopes and convictions.
