Inserted in the XIX Week of Clubs and Projects of Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz, taking place between the 24th and 28th of April 2017, the I Regional Festival of School Dance aims to bring together groups or students from schools that preferentially develop the artistic modality of Dance in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic and secondary education in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The main objective of this festival is to mark the world dance day through the exchange between artistic practices in the area of dance developed in schools in RAM. The exchange of experiences in the form of a competition will provide a constant improvement/evolution of artistic practices in the area of dance.
The contest will take place on the 26th of April, starting at 10 am, and on the 27th of April there will be a morning full of workshops for teachers and students, ending the day with the delivery of prizes to the students/groups participants (best dancer, best dancer, best choreography, best group and an absolute prize called “DancEn?gma”).
Participants will be divided into two categories: children (students of the 1st CEB) and youth (students of the 2nd and 3rd CEB/S).
