Projects

Extracurricular activities are those that occur outside the traditional school curriculum, seeking to expand and enrich students' training in different areas of knowledge, providing them with “intelligence plus character”. Mandatory subjects have their weight and importance, however, investing in extracurricular activities will certainly contribute to the student's physical and mental health, resulting in a highly valuable educational instrument. Our school, which promotes regular education, soon realized that this type of activities expands the knowledge and capabilities of our students.

We intend to carry out collaborative work based on the sharing of experiences and the joint construction of knowledge between teachers and students and non-teaching workers, emphasizing the school as a space for learning and experiencing citizenship.

Young people today are not protected by family and neighborhood like those in the past. The younger siblings are in daycare, many of the grandparents are in nursing homes and the parents go to work in the morning and return at night. Young people are alone at home, in front of the television and exposed to the Internet. Some even take care of their younger sibling or sick family member. The school increasingly has the role of educating instead of just instructing. Thus, in the student education process, Curricular Enrichment Activities are increasingly important, especially Health Education. The Coordinators of the “Health Team” have as their main objective the prevention of risk behaviors and the promotion of health.
